Just so we’re all clear, that “really cute” greeting that Lisbeth uses in Fincher’s TGWTDT, that “hey hey”? That’s actually a common Swedish greeting…in fact, it’s spelled “hej hej” and is probably not a tactic to come off as subtly endearing.

Lisbeth Salander, brilliant hacker & all-around...
Lisbeth Salander wriggled her way into my heart without even trying. I stayed up two nights in a row until 7am reading. How can you not respect this resilient girl to some degree? Not sure about the casting for her in both the Swedish and Hollywood versions. Mika Nakashima in her punk/goth phase would have been perfect, except that the ethnicity is off. But really, everything else aligns....
